Mean Green Soccer Looks To Win A Conference Championship For A Fifth Straight Year

ENTON — The North Texas women's soccer team is less than a month from its season opener on August 10 versus Oklahoma. The Mean Green enter the 2018 season looking to claim a conference title for a fifth straight season. 

Over the past four years, UNT has domianted Conference USA and won five conference titles including two in 2015 and last season's C-USA Tournament title. 

UNT returns a majority of its core from last year's championship team and has added a number of key transfers and freshmen who will help continue to push the program, which has won 13 conference championships in its 23-year history. 

A few key returners are captain Dominique James who was first team all-conference last year,Aaliyah Nolan who was second team all-conference, 2017 preseason all-conference member Carissa Sanders, the conference tournament offensive MVP Taylor Torres and Natalie Newell who was voted to the all-tournament team.

In its 23-year history, UNT has never had a losing season and is poised to continue that this season.
