Brelan Chancellor was a four-year starter from 2010-13 and three-time all-conference player, making him one of only 27 players in North Texas history to earn all-conference honors three consecutive years. In his senior season he was a first team all-conference kick returner, a first team all-conference punt returner and a second team all-conference wide receiver, the only player in NCAA FBS football that year to earn all-conference honors at three different positions. Chancellor was the Conference USA Special Teams Player of the year in 2013. He still holds the North Texas career record for all-purpose yards with 5,503, and ranks sixth among all-time North Texas receivers in 100-yard receiving games with seven. He holds the North Texas and Sun Belt Conference records for kickoff return yards in a single game (285 vs. Houston in 2011), single season (1,094 in 2011)) and a career (3,031). He ranks among the top five in Sun Belt Conference history for kickoff return yards in a game, season and career. Chancellor has two of the top 10 longest kickoff returns for a TD in school history. His 99 yard kickoff return against No. 9 Georgia is tied for the second longest in school history. Â His 22 total TDs for his career ranks 11th in North Texas history. Signed as a free agent with the San Diego Chargers and spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers before playing with the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League.
