Athletics Communications
The North Texas Athletics Communications Office serves as the link between Mean Green student-athletes, coaches and administrators and the media and general public. We attempt to provide timely and accurate coverage of North Texas athletics by coordinating interviews, serving the information needs of reporters, compiling and maintaining statistics, photos and historical records and updating the athletics website, MeanGreenSports.com.
It is our goal to help promote the positive things our student-athletes and coaches are doing and to get the word out about each sport and its individuals. We do not, however, manage the news or publicity. We are not part of the media and we do not and cannot write or speak for the media.
For information regarding credentials, North Texas administrators, teams, coaches and student-athletes, arranging interviews, obtaining statistics, photos or video highlights, please contact the North Texas Athletic Communications office.
All credential and interview requests with UNT coaches, student-athletes and administrators should be arranged through the Athletic Communications office as far in advance as possible. Not all requests are guaranteed and the North Texas Athletic Department reserves the right to deny any request for credentials or interviews. Credentials are granted to legitimate, news-gathering outlets ONLY. No person under the age of 18 will be granted a credential. Misuse of credentials can result in access being revoked.
The Athletic Communications Office is located in the administration suite of the Mean Green Athletic Center.
