G.A. Moore was a member of the Eagle football team from 1957-60, but has since earned national recognition as one of Texas' most successful high school football coaches.
He coached at Bryson, Pilot Point, Celina, Sherman and Aubrey and won eight state championships, compiling a record of 426-92-9.
Moore, who earned his bachelor degree (1962) and master's (1967) from North Texas, was inducted into the Texas High School Coaches Hall of Honor in 1998.
