Glen Holloway was a three-year letterwinner and team captain for the Mean Green football team from 1967 to 1969.
A two-time All-Missouri Valley Conference offensive lineman, Holloway represented North Texas in the East-West Shrine Game, Blue-Gray Game and the Senior Bowl.
He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in 1970 and was named to the NFL's All-Rookie Team that same year. He was the first recipient of the Brian Piccolo Award as a rookie and went on to start for the Bears for five straight seasons. He later played professional football with the Cleveland Browns for three years and in the World Football League.
In 2013, he was named to the North Texas All-Century team.
