In his two seasons as quaterback of the Mean Green football team in 1978 and 1979, Case established himself as one of the most accurate passers in school history with a 61.6 completion percentage and a 111.6 passing efficiency mark.
Leading teams that went 9-2 and 5-6 as a Division I Independent, Case guided the Mean Green to victories over opponents such as Oklahoma State, Southern Mississippi and Memphis State.
He finished his North Texas career with 2,608 passing yards.
