Rives McBee

Rives McBee was a dominant force while playing golf at North Texas State University from 1959-62. McBee won 16 individual titles during his time with the Eagles, and was the team leader in strokes all three years that his team won Missouri Valley Conference championships. In his senior year, McBee captained the team, helping it win the MVC championship and finish third at the NCAA men’s golf championship. During his career, North Texas posted a 32-8-3 dual match record and won nine tournament championships. Playing at the No. 1 position for his team all three years, McBee only lost one head-to-head match during that span. Following his college career, McBee was a PGA Tour player from 1965-71 and played in 13 Majors during that time, including The Masters once, six U.S. Open Championships and six PGA Championships. He is a co-founder of the North Texas PGA Junior Golf Association and a founding member of the North Texas Junior Golf Association. He is a lifetime member of the PGA of America and the PGA Senior Champions Tour.
