Sandra Palmer attended North Texas from 1959 to 1963, during which time she was a cheerleader and Homecoming queen. She was also an accomplished golfer, but the school did not have a varsity women’s program at the time.
Palmer joined the Ladies PGA in 1964 and recorded 21 wins during her pro career. She was selected to the National Collegiate Hall of Fame in 1988.
