| | Dustin Hill, MS, ATC, LAT Head Athletic Trainer Assistant Athletic Director Dustin is a native of Gadsden, Alabama. He received his bachelor's of science in athletic training from the University of Alabama. After leaving Alabama, Hill received his master's of science in sports administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. Upon completion of his master's degree, Dustin remained at the University of Southern Mississippi as the associate head athletic Trainer. Additionally, Dustin had spent time with the Cleveland Indians minor league team in Winter Haven, Florida as well as DCH sports medicine clinic Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Currently, Dustin serves as the Sports Medicine Director and Assistant Athletic Director for the University of North Texas. Dustin Hill is a Certified Member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and is Licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the State of Texas. He is very active in his national and district athletic training associations. He is currently the chair of the Division I-A Honors and Awards Committee for the Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association. Since arriving at the University of North Texas, Dustin has played a vital role in creating the entry-level master’s athletic training program here at the university. Dustin is a proud parent of a daughter, Savannah Lyne, and a son Devin Graden. |
| Brad Anderson, ATC, LAT Assistant Athletic Trainer Head Men's Basketball Athletic Trainer Brad Anderson, a native of Knoxville, Tennessee, joined the North Texas Sports Medicine Department in August of 2001. He received a bachelor of science degree in athletic training from the University of Southern Mississippi. Before coming to North Texas he was the season assistant athletic trainer for the New York Giants and participated in Super Bowl XXXV. Anderson has spent two seasons with the Portland Trailblazers and has been an athletic trainer and strength and conditioning coach for a minor league affiliate of the Texas Rangers. Brad also served as a training camp assistant with the strength and conditioning coaches of the Oakland Raiders. He is proud to have worked under three members of the National Athletic Trainer's Association's Hall of Fame: E.L. "Doc" Harrington and Jim Gallaspy at the University of Southern Mississippi, and Ronnie P. Barnes of the New York Giants. | Chay Spears MED, ATC, LAT Assistant Athletic Trainer Head Women's Basketball Trainer
Chay is a native of Mesquite, Texas. She is a 2000 graduate of the University of North Texas. She earned a BS in Kinesiology and completed her master’s degree in May of 2002 in Secondary Education from North Texas. Spears worked as a student trainer at North Texas while completing her undergraduate degree.
Following her graduation from North Texas in 2000 Spears worked at the Greater Lewisville Therapy Center. She also was a contract trainer for Baylor Sportscare where she assisted numerous local high schools in the Dallas area. Chay Spears is a Certified Member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and is licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the State of Texas and official trainer of MGRN. | |
| | Rita Stoufflet, MS, ATC, LAT Assistant Athletic Trainer Soccer Trainer
Rita Stoufflet joined the University of North Texas Sports Medicine staff in 2006 as an assistant athletic trainer. Originally from the Northern California Bay Area, Stoufflet came to Texas to pursue a master’s of science in exercise science and sports nutrition at Texas Woman’s University in Denton and completed her degree in 2005. She received her bachelor’s of science in kinesiology from Sonoma State University in 2001. Prior to coming to North Texas, Stoufflet worked for New Mexico State’s Athletic Department and with Presbyterian Sports Network in Dallas. At NMSU, she served as the athletic trainer for the volleyball and softball teams. In addition to her role at North Texas, Rita works with Gatorade, educating youth elite soccer clubs about the importance of proper hydration. Stoufflet is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification, as well as licensed by the state of Texas. She is married to Paul Stoufflet, who is also an athletic trainer. |
| Kurt Kammerer Graduate Assistant, Softball The Colony, TX Kurt Kammerer is originally from The Colony TX. He is a 2003 graduate of Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports sciences and has recently earned a master’s degree in athletic training from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center as well in 2005. During the master's program he worked with Texas Tech men’s basketball and other various small colleges and high schools in Lubbock and the surrounding area. While at North Texas, he is the graduate assistant for softball and is pursuing a strength and conditioning certification and national certification for Athletic Training. | |
| | Chad Whiteneck, ATC, LAT Graduate Assistant, Football Baytown, TX Chad is a 2004 graduate of the athletic training program at Texas State University-San Marcos, where he graduated Suma Cum Laude. He was an intern with the Austin Wranglers Arena Football team during its first season in the AFL. He is currently working towards a master's degree in kinesiology.
