Mike has fond memories of his days at North Texas. "We were proud of our school our football program, which was led by Rod Rust, and proud of the great camaraderie we had as a team," said Mike. "There really was a sense of one for all and all for one." The 1966-68 squards are a few of the best teams ever fielded by North Texas and Mike recalls that 18 players from the 1967 team went to NFL camps at some point.
Mike has been in the technology sector of corporate America since graduation and completion of his professional football career. He is now the President and CEO of Strategic Technologies. He has a wonderful wife, a 28-year old son, and a 16-year old daughter.
"I know I share with so many of our North Texas alumni and former students a great love for our university," said Mike. "The skills and values we learned as students and student-athletes in my mind have served us very well. I am very grateful to NTSU/UNT for the real impact it has had on my life."
"Be sure you give a big hug from Mike Shook to any of the guys you see that were a part of our special teams of 1965-68. They are all very dear to me."
