A current and former North Texas golf got a taste of what it's going to take to play women's professional golf. Jacey Chun, a senior, and Jordan Rose both had their shot at "Q" school last week, LPGA Qualifying for the 2012 tour.
Both reached Stage II of "Q" school last week and played at the Plantation Golf and Country Club course in Venice, Florida trying to advance to Stage III. The top-70 and ties advanced. Rose was five strokes off while Chun fell six strokes shy of advancing.
Rose started the tournament with a 1-under par 71 and was tied for 29th place. Chun played her final round at 1-under par 71 and shot a 299 for the tournament while Rose posted a 298.
Chun missed the Mean Green's tournament in New Mexico but no doubt gained some valuable experience along the way.
The news however is still good for both Chun and Rose as they have both earned membership onto the 2012 LPGA Futures Tour for next year.
