Committee Overviews
Social Committee: The social committee gives the athletes a chance to really show their creativity. SAAC tries to organize fun events for the North Texas Athletic family every semester. The goal is to increase support and cohersion between the teams. The main events of the year are National Student Athlete Day and Homecoming.
Cross-Campus Relations: The cross-campus relations committee focuses on bringing the athletes and the student body together. They organize events where athletes have a chance to get to know the student body and encourage school spirit. The committee collaborates with different organizations across campus including the Resident Hall Association, the Student Government Association, and Greek Life.
Community Service Committee: The community service committee strives to reach out to the Denton community to encourage local support for the student athletes. The committee organizes various fundraisers to help those let fortunate in our community. They also organize outreach projects where student athletes go to local schools to encourage young children to stay active in athletics and talk to them about being student athletes. Although each team does seperate community service projects, the committee focuses on how North Texas athletics as a whole can be active in the DFW area.
