No. 6 - Ramsey Tops the 300-yd Mark Six Times
Only one of the best passing games in NCAA History (Meagar's 601-yd outburst against SMU) passed Steve Ramsey's mark of 495 yards against Louisiana-Lafayette in 1969.
Ramsey eclipsed the 300-yard passing mark more than any other quarterback in program history, topping it six times.
He currently holds the second (495 yds.), fifth (433 yds.), 10th (381 yds.), 13th (376 yds.), 14th (373 yds.) and 26th (308 yds.) most yards in a game in the NT records.
The 495 yard day against ULL saw Ramsey record five touchdowns through the air en route to a 40-6 thumping of the Ragin' Cajuns.
He notched five passing touchdowns in two other games, vs Cincinnati and UTEP in 1968, and sits above the rest in career passing TDs as well.
