UPDATE 10:50 a.m.: Due to lighting in the area the start time to the meet is delayed.
UPDATE 12:00 p.m.:Â Lightning has cleared and the meet is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.with field events.
DENTON — North Texas will open its new Soccer and Track & Stadium on Saturday, when it hosts the North Texas Classic track & field meet. It is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Attendance is free. Fans who can't make the meet can follow along with live stats.Â
Due to the rain the and lightning the ribbon cutting ceremony has been canceled.Â
