Senior from Trophy Club, Texas, has maintained a 4.00 GPA in biomedical engineering.
DENTON, Texas – North Texas track & field/cross country standout Caleb Bouchard has been named to the NCAA Division I – District 7 First Team as part of the 2021-22 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, CoSIDA announced Thursday.
The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom.
Bouchard has maintained a 4.00 GPA in biomedical engineering in the classroom, and he earned 2021 Conference USA First Team honors in cross country with a fifth-place finish at the C-USA meet in a time of 24:12.9. The senior from Trophy Club, Texas, placed 11th at C-USA Indoor Championships in the 3,000m with a time of 8:25.61.
As a first-team Academic All-District® honoree, Bouchard now advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in June.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
