XC: Neiva Earns All-AAC Honors at Conference Meet

Men’s team places seventh, while women’s squad takes 13th.
DENTON, Texas – Victor Neiva finished in 12th place to earn all-conference accolades and lead UNT cross country Saturday at the American Athletic Conference Championship in Greenville, N.C.
Neiva clocked an 8K time of 23:19.6 to notch his third-career all-conference honor (first in The American) with a 12th-place finish. Jake Meyering followed in 36th with a time of 24:17.3, while Mason Garner finished 39th at 24:23.8, Alan Proenza placed 46th at 24:36.0, and Luke Canon rounded out the scoring runners in 62nd with a time of 25:13.0.
Trinity Trotter led the women's team in 41st with a 6K time of 22:13.1, while Tiblets Abreha placed 57th at 22:51.2, Miranda Vreeland took 67th at 23:03.2, Aditi Silwal finished 70th at 23:06.7, and Addison Sykora placed 78th at 23:21.0. The Mean Green men's team placed seventh overall, while the women's squad finished 13th.
Next up for UNT cross country is the NCAA South Central Regional on Nov. 10 in Fayetteville, Ark.
