
Standout Distance Runner London Culbreath Signs With Mean Green

DENTON, Texas – Former TCU distance runner London Culbreath has signed with the UNT program for her senior season.
Culbreath competed in 30 meets for the Horned Frogs between the 2023 cross country season and a pair of track seasons with TCU. She tallied 16 individual top-five finishes and made a substantial imprint on the program's all-time top 10 lists. She holds the fourth-fastest indoor 1,000 meters time in TCU history, as well as the fifth-fastest indoor 3,000 meters, sixth-fastest outdoor 1,500 meters, and ninth-fastest indoor mile and outdoor 5,000 meters.
Culbreath recorded three wins on the track as a junior, including taking the 5,000 meters at the Michael Johnson Invitational for the second-straight season with a time of 16:56.72. In addition, she was a member of the TCU DMR team that posted the second-fastest time in school history at the Big 12 Indoor Track and Field Championships.
During the fall, she represented TCU at the NCAA Division I South Central Region Cross Country Championships where she placed 43rd with a time of 21:50.3 in the 6K. She placed sixth in the 5K at the Texas A&M Invite with a personal-best time of 17:40.7, while also setting a new career best in the 6K clocking a 21:19.6 at the Arturo Barrios Invite.
A native of McKinney, Texas, she originally signed with Arkansas out of high school. She spent one season with the Razorbacks where she competed in the cross country season and two outdoor track meets.
Culbreath was a Texas high school legend totaling nine gold medals during her career in State 5A Championship events for McKinney North. In each of her first three years, she was a state champion in cross country, the 1,500 meters and 3,200 meters. Culbreath is one of just two female athletes to be named the Gatorade Texas Girls Cross Country Athlete of the Year three times in their prep careers.
