Cross Country Reveals 2026 Schedule

UNT to compete in six meets throughout the fall
DENTON – The UNT cross country team has officially unveiled its 2026 schedule under first-year coach Jafet Molinares, featuring six meets this season.
The season begins Sept. 4 in Fort Worth, Texas, at the John McKenzie Invitational hosted by TCU.
The Mean Green will compete in three meets in October, with their second official meet on Oct. 3, traveling to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival.
UNT will then travel to College Station to compete in the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Oct. 16 for the final meet before the conference championship.
The American Conference Cross Country Championship will then be run on Halloween in New Orleans. The Mean Green finished in eighth place in both the men's and women's competitions at the conference meet in 2025.
North Texas will then return to College Station in November, competing in the South Central Regional on Nov. 13.
Qualifying runners for the Mean Green will then wrap up the season in Terre Haute, Indiana at the NCAA championship on Nov. 21.
