Ava Jestis joined the UNT Athletics staff in May 2023 and was elevated to Assistant Director Marketing and Fan Engagement in December of 2025.
In her role, Jestis serves as the marketing contact for UNT women's basketball, soccer and football tailgating. She also helps oversee the UNT Maniacs, one of the fastest growing student sections in college athletics.
Jestis started her career at UNT as a Marketing and Fan Engagement Assistant before being elevated to her current role.
A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Ava received her Bachelor’s of Science in Event Design Experience Management with a minor in Recreation Event Sport Management from the University of North Texas in May of 2024. Ava is currently seeking her MBA in Sports Business Administration at UNT.
During her time with the University she spent five years on the University’s cheer team, spending her last two years as the team captain.Â
