Curt Johnsen joined North Texas in June of 2025 with head men's basketball coach Daniyal Robinson. Prior to arriving in Denton, Johnsen spent the previous two seasons at Cleveland State with Robinson.
Johnsen also has stops at Dayton, University of Miami, Georgetown and Ransom Everglades High School and Gulliver Prep High School in Miami, Florida.Â
Johnsen has certifications in C.S.C.S., NASM-PES, USAWL1, and FMS. He received his master's in exercise physiology from the University of Miami in 2013 after receiving his bachelor's in 2012 from Miami and his A.S. in sports medicine from ICCC in 2010.
