Jordan-Lee Dobbins joined the Mean Green sports medicine staff in June of 2023 and serves as Associate Athletic Trainer/Football Rehab Coordinator.
In her role, Dobbins oversees the rehabilitation and return-to-play process for North Texas football student-athletes while collaborating with the strength and conditioning staff, team physicians, physical therapists, nutrition staff and sports psychology personnel to provide comprehensive care.
Since joining the Mean Green in June 2023, Dobbins has developed and implemented the football program's rehabilitation and return-to-play system, helping maintain exceptional roster availability throughout the season. She also coordinates baseline and return-to-play concussion testing, oversees injury prevention initiatives, manages football medical equipment and supplies, and assists with the onboarding and medical care of incoming student-athletes.
In addition to her football responsibilities, Dobbins serves as coordinator of the undergraduate athletic training program, mentoring approximately 30 undergraduate students annually while supervising graduate immersion students and fostering relationships with local high school sports medicine programs.
Prior to North Texas, Dobbins spent the 2022-23 academic year as an intern athletic trainer at LSU, where she worked with the Tigers' track and field program while also assisting with football. During her time in Baton Rouge, she cared for collegiate, professional and Olympic athletes while gaining experience in rehabilitation, manual therapy and student mentorship.
Before beginning her professional career, Dobbins earned a Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of South Carolina in 2022. During her graduate assistantship, she worked with the Gamecocks football program, traveling with the team and assisting with all aspects of student-athlete care throughout the 2021 season.
A North Texas alumna, Dobbins earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology from UNT in 2020. She is a certified athletic trainer through the Board of Certification, a licensed athletic trainer in the state of Texas and holds certifications in corrective exercise, regenerative dry needling, blood flow restriction and trauma emergency care. She is also the owner and operator of Open Door Performance, a concierge sports medicine and performance practice based in Denton.
