Kennedy Lovell was hired as an assistant coach prior to the 2025-26 season after a standout swimming career at Toledo, where she graduated from with a master's degree in 2024.

At Toledo, Lovell specialized in the freestyle sprints, competing in the 50, 100 and 200, while also being a mainstay on 400 freestyle relay teams as well as medley relays.
