Sam McSwain was added to the UNT staff as Assistant Director for Facilities and Events in July of 2025.

In his role at UNT, McSwain oversees and serves as game manager for UNT volleyball as well as assisting with operations for additional Olympic Sports.

McSwain joined the Mean Green after spending the 2023-25 seasons as a graduate assistant for event operations at Clemson University.

While at Clemson, McSwain served as the tournament director for the 2025 NCAA Softball Regional as well as the 2024 Men's Soccer ACC and NCAA postseasons.

Prior to his time at Clemson, McSwain was a student assistant for facilities and operations at Texas A&M. He has also served as an intern for the 2022 Tax Act Texas Bowl.

McSwain achieved his Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M in May of 2023 and his Master's Degree in Athletic Leadership from Clemson in May of 2025.
