Rolling Out The Green Carpet At Fouts Field

Crews rolled out and positioned the south endzone turf strip early this afternoon. That strip will then be sewed to the next section of turf until the football field is complete.
After the field is installed, Sportexe will put in the turf for the sidelines and behind the endzones. That’s when field designs, hash marks and endzone decorations will be sewn into the Omnigrass surface. Two inches of 100-percent ground rubber infill will then complete the project. The entire process is expected to take between 15-20 working days.

All of the concrete has been poured and playing fences are being installed at the Waranch Tennis Pavilion. The facility, already chosen to host the 2007 Sun Belt Conference Tennis Championships, will house 12 courts and a clubhouse that will serve as a lounge and pro shop, as well as providing office space and locker rooms for the Mean Green tennis team.
