Mean Green Football Falls At Kansas State

Both Wildcat backs were able to notch career best marks by halftime. Webb threw for 188 yards in the first two quarters, while Fisher set a new K-State record for rushing yards by a freshman by running for 148 yards in the first half.

Led by Jamario Thomas, the Mean Green offense made a late charge in the fourth quarter. The sophomore got loose on a third down run and scrambled for a season high 39 yards. Three plays later, quarterback Matt Phillips found a streaking Johnny Quinn for a 25-yard touchdown pass.
The Mean Green covered 71 yards on the drive in 2:54 for the team’s first touchdown pass of the season.
Thomas led the team in rushing with 62 yards on 11 carries, while Quinn was the lead receiver with six catches for 46 yards.
