Over the course of this past weekend trailers were delivered for Manhattan Construction Company workers. Their workers have been using the Athletic Center as a temporary home, but next week they will call the trailers home sweet home.
The administrative and field workers will be housed in these trailers for the duration of the project. Amenities include offices and conference rooms to keep track of the comings and goings of the numerous tasks at hand.
Also over the weekend, workers endured the cold and wet weather to continue with excavation.
And in case you have driven by the site the last couple of days you might not have caught that some extra equipment has been added to the site by the construction company to aid in the digging process and play a little catch up because of all of the rain.
Now here is the game plan as far as the digging goes. The digging is going to be from the outside in.
The digging and excavating will be the outer bowl of the stadium, the stands, event areas, parking, etc.
So the workers are digging the outer portions of the stadium and will dig the field area up last. Pretty interesting process but with good weather, you might start to see the bowl take shape sometime in March.
