Green Gang: Roster Report

Spring football is still more than a month away, but we are doing some housekeeping items and the football roster is one of them, I know there are roster junkies out there.
The roster is in the process of being rolled over the next couple of days (snow and ice won't stop us). There will be 78 names on the roster for spring ball which begins in late March. We have added the three newcomers Brent Osborn, Andrew Power, and Michael Stojkovic to the roster as they are already enrolled.
Only one notable name gone from last year is wide receiver B.J. Lewis. Now onto the difficult part....the redshirts. You remember all those injuries from last season. Well time to sort out who gets a redshirt and who doesn't.
The true freshman from last year that redshirted are the following. Blake Dunham, Graylan Hawkins, Antonio Johnson, Konockus Sashington, Derrick Teegarden, and Mason Y'Barbo.
You're wondering about the medical redshirts now aren't you? Chris Bynes, DaWaylon Cook, and Derek Thompson have received or are in the process of receiving them.
Steven Ford, J.J. Johnson, and Nick Leppo will not get redshirts. Ford's clock is up at the end of this year, JJ and Leppo have already redshirted. Ford will be a senior, as will JJ and Leppo a sophomore.
Don't ask me to explain how or why those guys didn't get one, that's why I'm not in compliance. I'm just going off of what they tell me.
The 78 names will include some walk-on's from last year and new names which we will add once we get them so that number is going to fluctuate. Right now the number on the site is at 72. Height and weight will be updated in August.
