North Texas Alumni Johnny Quinn To Compete In Winter Olympics

Former Mean Green wide receiver and North Texas Athletic Hall of Famer Johnny Quinn was named to the 2014 Winter Olympics United States bobsled team Sunday night.
Quinn will be a push athlete on one of the two American four-man bobsleds competing at the 22nd Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, which begin Feb. 7. Quinn will be on the bobsled piloted by Nick Cunningham.
Quinn, who graduated in 2006, ranks first in school history with 2,718 career receiving yards and fourth with 3,835 all-purpose yards. He led the team in receiving four straight seasons and is second all-time with 187 career receptions.
In 2013, Quinn was named to the North Texas All-Century Football Team.
