DALLAS - The 2014 North Texas Coaches Caravan wrapped up its four-stop tour of the Metroplex Thursday evening by returning to the Cotton Bowl, scene of the Mean Green's recent triumph in the Heart of Dallas Bowl on New Year's Day.

This year's Caravan touched down at Apogee Stadium in Denton, at Park Place Lexus in Plano and at First State Bank in Gainesville before the finale at the Cotton Bowl, and the cumulative turnout was one of the largest in the Caravan's history.

Attendees enjoyed a dinner of brisket, sausage and pulled pork while getting a chance to speak with football coach Dan McCarney, men's basketball coach Tony Benford, women's basketball coach Mike Petersen, tennis coach Sujay Lama, softball coach Tracey Kee, cross country coach Stefanie Slekis, track and field coach Carl Sheffield, and athletic director Rick Villarreal.
