Women's Golf Ends Regular Season At Red Raider Invite

LUBBOCK -- The women's golf team completed the regular season with a 14th place finish after three rounds at the Red Raider Invitational Saturday.
The Mean Green had a tough first round team score of 324 and bounced back with a second round 307. In the final round, North Texas scored 316 and finished the tournament with a three-round total of 947.
Junior Eji Kwon finished in a tie for 49th after a two-day total of 232 (78-76-78). Kwon was solid all three rounds with her best score coming in round two with a four-over 76. Freshman Samantha Huang also finished in a tie for 49th after a two-day score of 232 (82-73-77). Her second round one-over par 73 was a season-low on the season.
Freshman Kalli Jennings had a three round total of 236 (82-77-77) to finish in a tie for 60th place. Jennings came back after a first round 82 to finish 77-77 in her final two rounds. Sophomore Devin Edwards finished in a tie for 73rd after a two-day total of 247 (82-81-84).
Sophomore Nyca Khaw rounded out the scoring with a score of 258 (82-83-93) to finish 75th.
North Texas will compete in the Conference USA championship April 18-20 held in Fort Myers, Fla.
