Mean Green Madness Set For Oct. 18

DENTON – North Texas' Mean Green Madness at the Super Pit is Thursday, Oct. 18, starting at 7 p.m. It is free to the public, and doors open at 6:30.
This year's event, which kick-starts the UNT men's and women's basketball season, will be the public's first opportunity to meet the 2018-19 Mean Green basketball squads. It will feature a 3-point shooting contest, post-event autograph signing and games for fans with big prizes, such as televisions.
Free food will be provided by Whataburger, Beth Marie's, Nothing Bundt Cakes and more.
Among the performers will be North Texas Cheer, North Texas Dancers, UNT Drumline, DJ Question Mark and Dance Group North Texas Emeralds.
The North Texas women will open the 2018 schedule with an exhibition game on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Super Pit against Mary Hardin Baylor. The men host Angelo State on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
