NTLA Members Put Their Mark On Practice Facility

DENTON - More than 40 members of the North Texas Letterwinners Association took part in a beam-signing event April 26 at the site of the new indoor practice facility.
Former student-athletes representing more than 10 sports were at the event, which allowed Letterwinners Association members to sign and include a short message on one of the beams being installed in the new facility. Six decades of letterwinners, dating back to the 1950s with former football player Ken Bahnsen, attended.
The indoor practice facility is scheduled for completion this summer. It was designed as a multi-sport facility that will provide a temperature-controlled environment to maximize student-athlete safety and efficiency. It was made possible thanks to gifts from the Lovelace and McNatt families, and will allow UNT to stay competitive with peer athletics programs in the region and Conference USA.
