LUBBOCK – North Texas track and field competes at the Red Raider Invitational hosted by Texas Tech Friday inside the Sports Performance Center.
Field events begin at 10 a.m. followed by running events at 11.
The Mean Green look to build off a strong start to the 2020 indoor season where the team set three school records: Aneesa Scott (200m), Bailey Ashmore (pole vault) and Joseph Squire (60m hurdles).
"I want us to continue to compete hard this week," director of track and field Carl Sheffield said. "The level of competition goes up a tad, so I hope we can raise our level of effort. I believe our confidence rises with our daily preparation. We should be up to the task.
"We are still four weeks from the indoor championships. We want to stay focused and continue to improve at practice. The upcoming meets will prove beneficial for the level of competition at Conference USA."
