T&F Finishes At Houston

HOUSTON – North Texas track and field concluded competition at the Houston G5 & Super 22 Invitational inside Yeoman Fieldhouse Saturday.
"It was a good two days of competition for us. We are still finding bright spots on our squad. Our distance runners are closing in on their preparation towards Conference USA," director of track and field Carl Sheffield said.
The 4x400-meter relay team was the high finisher for the Mean Green as Aneesa Scott, Lyric Choice, Kayla McDonald and Lauryn McCollum ran a 3:49.55 for third place. The distance medley relay quad consisting of Baylee Nelson, Liah Collins, Laurynn Hogan and Aubrey Schmidt clocked a 12:04.66 to earn fifth place honors.

Scott finished fourth in the 200 in a time of 24.00 seconds, while Antonio Delacruz finished seventh in 21.68.Â

In field events, Charlotte Kerr cleared 1.65 meters in high jump for sixth place. Bailey Ashmore and Sydney Salinas each vaulted 3.85 meters to finish seventh and eighth, respectively, in pole vault. Valencia Bullock placed seventh in triple jump at 11.87 meters.Â
