Finley Closes Strong To Lead UNT Women

NORMAN, Okla. - The UNT women's golf team closed out play at The Schooner Fall Classic on Monday at the Belmar Golf Club and finished the event in 12th place after shooting a 295-292-289-876 in its second event of the fall season.
UNT was led by a final-round push from Oklahoma native Katie Finley, as the senior shot a 1-under 69 to close out the tournament and finish as the team's top individual at 3-over par in a tie for 15th place. Senior Audrey Tan, the defending Conference USA champion, entered the day tied for 13th but finished the event at 5-over par in a tie for 24th. Sophomore Ellie Roth, a Kansas transfer, made her debut in the team's lineup, and finished at 9-over par after a strong final round with an even-par 70.
The Mean Green will round out their fall slate in a month, when they play at the Olde Stone Intercollegiate on Oct. 25-26, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
