
Amended 2022 Football Schedule Announced

DENTON, Texas – UNT will travel to face UTEP during Week Zero on August 27 to open its amended 2022 schedule, Conference USA announced Wednesday.
Overall, the slate features six home games and North Texas begins its home schedule with back-to-back dates at Apogee Stadium against in-state opponents SMU (Sept. 3) and Texas Southern (Sept. 10). The opener at UTEP is the Mean Green's first season-opening conference game since a Sept. 1, 2011 trip to FIU.
UNT travels to face UNLV at Allegiant Stadium on Sept. 17. North Texas then wraps up non-conference action the following week on Sept. 24 against future American Athletic Conference opponent Memphis at historic Liberty Bowl Stadium.
Home conference dates include Florida Atlantic (Oct. 1), Louisiana Tech (Oct. 15), FIU (Nov. 5) and Rice (Nov. 26). Conference USA road trips for the Mean Green include UTSA (Oct. 22), Western Kentucky (Oct. 29) and UAB (Nov. 12).
Eight of UNT's 12 regular season games will be played in the state of Texas, and the Mean Green will face two future rivals from The American in Memphis and SMU.
It is important to note that all games are subject to date changes and some dates are expected to move in the coming weeks in order to accommodate national television selections. A schedule of televised games will be released at a later date.
Conference USA's 18th annual Championship Game is scheduled for Friday, December 2. Details on football championship format will continue to be discussed by the 11 members and released at a later date.
UNT football season ticket renewals for the 2022 season are available through the North Texas Athletics Ticket Office now. Season ticket holders may log into their account now to process their invoice. Season ticket holders acting fast can utilize a 5-month payment plan. Please note that invoices are based on 2021 season ticket seat locations. Adjustments to seat locations can be made by contacting the North Texas Athletics Ticket Office. The deadline is April 29.
