Volleyball Announces 2022 Schedule

DENTON – UNT Volleyball, which enters its first season under head coach Kristee Porter, announced its 2022 schedule on Thursday.
They will open the season at home on August 26th and 27th with the North Texas Invite, hosting Jacksonville University, UNLV, and UTRGV.
The Mean Green in non-conference will also travel to compete in the UTA Invite on September 2nd and 3rd, Oregon State Invite September 9th and 10th, and Montana State Invite September 16th and 17th.
UNT is scheduled to play 31 total matches - 17 non-conference matches and 14 Conference USA matches. They will kick off conference play in the Sunshine State with matches against FAU and FIU on September 23rd and 25th respectively.
The 2022 Conference USA Volleyball Championships will be hosted by Western Kentucky from Nov. 12-20 in Bowling Green, KY. The top four teams from each C-USA division will compete for the title and earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament in December 2022.
First-year UNT head coach Kristee Porter was hired on December 26, 2021. She comes to Denton after two seasons at McNeese State where she led the Cowgirls to 41 wins in two years and their first trip to the conference championship match since 1999. Porter is a graduate of UCLA where she competed in volleyball, basketball, and track and field.
