
Track & Field Travels to Lubbock for Red Raider Open

DENTON, Texas – North Texas Track & Field will compete in its second meet of the indoor season Friday as the Mean Green travel to Lubbock, Texas, for the Red Raider Open.

UNT will be competing against an elite field that includes host Texas Tech, Texas A&M, ACU, Arizona State, Clemson, Kentucky, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Southern, Texas State and UCF.

The Mean Green are coming off a solid opener at Arkansas that saw KeAyla Dove set the school record in the women's shot put and five student-athletes qualify for finals.

Action from the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock will be streamed live on ESPN+, with coverage beginning at 10:30 a.m. CT. Live results will be provided by PrimeTime Timing. Running events begin at 10 a.m. CT with the men's 3,000m B Section, while field events get going at 10:30 a.m. CT with the men's and women's weight throw.

This is the final meet before the initial USTFCCCA NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Regional TFRI rankings are unveiled on Jan. 23. The USTFCCCA national rankings will come out on Jan. 24.
