Adati, Schultz and Stadfany Win Bracket Titles at UCA Fall Invite

Mean Green win three bracket titles in final tune-up before ITA Regional

CONWAY, Ark. – In their second fall tournament of the season, the UNT women's tennis program had an impressive performance in the UCA Fall Invite, led by three bracket titles from Nformi Stadfany, Lilly Schultz and Marina Adati.

The Mean Green posted a 15-4 overall record in the tournament, going 4-2 in doubles play and 11-2 in singles matchups in their final tune-up before the ITA Regional.

In singles play, Stadfany, Schultz and Adati all posted perfect 3-0 records across two days of competition to win their respective brackets.

In addition, Stanislava Shulzhenko was able to bounce back from a first-round loss to post a 2-1 record in singles play.

In doubles, the combination of Shulzhenko and Stadfany advanced to the doubles bracket final before falling in the championship matchup.

The duo of Lou Chalard and Schultz, meanwhile, went 2-0 on day two in doubles to round out the strong weekend for the Mean Green.

UNT now turns its attention to the ITA Regional in Waco, Texas, Oct. 12-18. The Mean Green have had a doubles team advance to the semifinal of the ITA Regional in each of the last two seasons.
