
Neiva Places 169th at NCAA Cross Country Championships

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia – Victor Neiva clocked a time of 31:16.2 to take 169th in his second appearance at the national meet Saturday at the 2023 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Neiva wrapped up a successful season that included recording personal bests at the conference and regional championships in back-to-back weeks. The senior from Keller, Texas, registered a 10K time of 29:41.7 at regionals to place 10th and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA championships. He placed 12th the week before in the 8K with a time of 23:19.6 at the American Athletic Conference Championships.
With the cross country season complete, Neiva and the Mean Green now turn their focus to the indoor track & field season.
