
T&F Set for Conference USA Indoor Championships

Mean Green will compete Saturday and Sunday in Birmingham.
DENTON, Texas – UNT Track & Field will compete in the 2023 Conference USA Indoor Championships Saturday and Sunday at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala., hosted by UAB.

Coming into the meet, the Mean Green are ranked sixth in Conference USA on the men's side and seventh in the women's rankings of the USTFCCCA Conference Track & Field Rating Index. The women's team has 13 student-athletes ranked in the top-eight of the conference, while the men's team has nine.

Marta Sivina is ranked No. 1 in the women's pentathlon, while KeAyla Dove is No. 2 in the women's shot put. Dove is a two-time C-USA Indoor Athlete of the Week this season. Both Sivina and Dove are school record holders in their respective events. Top-three finishers at the C-USA meet earn a spot on the podium as all-conference honorees, while top-eight finishers accumulate points.

Saturday will get started with the heptathlon at 9 a.m. CT. Field events start at 1 p.m. CT, and running events get going at 3 p.m. CT. On Sunday, the heptathlon starts at 8:30 a.m. CT, with field events going at 10 a.m. CT and running events starting at noon CT.
