
Track & Field: Dove, Parchman Break School Records at OU

Mean Green record five top-three finishes at Sooner Invitational
DENTON, Texas – KeAyla Dove broke her own school record in the women's shot put, and Jake Parchman did the same in the men's hammer throw to lead the way for UNT Track & Field Friday and Saturday at the Sooner Invitational in Norman, Okla.
Dove, who came into the meet ranked No. 3 in the West and No. 7 in the nation, moved her school-record mark to 58-06.75 (17.85m) to take the shot put title.
Parchman placed fourth in the hammer throw with a career-best and school-record mark of 198-11 (60.63m).
Brock Hottel took the Sooner Invitational pole vault title with a jump of 16-10.75 (5.15m), his fourth event championship of the season.
In the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, Victor Neiva took the win with a time of 9:14.16.
Mackenzie Kuehl finished as the runner-up in the women's javelin with a throw of 139-05 (42.49m), and Zion Hill took fourth in the men's javelin with a mark of 205-04 (62.60m).
In the men's discus, Kevin Grubbs took third with a mark of 182-02 (55.54m).
Next up for the Mean Green is the Michael Johnson Invitational next Friday and Saturday, April 21-22, in Waco, Texas.
