Grubbs, Hottel win silver medals on day three of the C-USA Outdoor Championships
DENTON, Texas – Karlington Anunagba and Alika Crawford recorded the fastest all-conditions 100-meter times in school history to highlight day three for UNT track & field Saturday at the Soccer and Track & Field Stadium.

Crawford got things rolling in the women's 100 meters, recording a wind-aided time of 11.46 to move past Ananka Clark for the best all-conditions women's 100 meters time in UNT history. Crawford placed seventh in the prelims to earn a spot in Sunday's final. Lauren Brown finished right behind Crawford in eighth with a time of 11.49 to move on to the finals, as well.

In the men's 100 meters, Anunagba cruised to a wind-aided time of 10.08 to break both his and Rudy Levarity's previous all-conditions marks of 10.18. Anunagba had the second-best time of the prelims, advancing to Sunday's final. Samir Williams will also be in the final after placing eighth in the prelims with a time of 10.30.

Kevin Grubbs earned the first spot on the podium for the Mean Green, finishing as the runner-up in the men's discus with a mark of 190-06 (58.06m). Wardell Glaspie finished fourth with a mark of 185-06 (56.54m) and Jake Parchman placed sixth with a throw of 164-09 (50.23m) to give UNT 16 total points in the discus.

Brock Hottel won the silver medal in the men's pole vault, finishing as the runner-up with a jump of 16-06.75 (5.05m).

Glenquioa Hardy scored three points with a sixth-place finish in the women's long jump, Jalesia Shaffer placed fourth in the women's discus to record five points, Madison Sloan scored one point with an eighth-place finish in the women's discus, and Victor Neiva placed fourth in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase to score five points and round out the scoring for the Mean Green on day three. Macayla Needham scored two points on Friday in the women's hammer throw with a seventh-place finish.

Luke Canon (800 meters), Jomauri Murray (110-meter hurdles), Chinazaekpere Okoye (400-meter hurdles), Jordan-Coates-McBride (400-meter hurdles), Anunagba (200 meters) and Jared Johnson (200 meters) all advanced to Sunday finals.

The championships conclude Sunday, starting with the women's shot put at 10 a.m. CT. Running events begin at 3 p.m. CT with the women's 4x100-meter relay. The awards ceremony will commence following the conclusion of the meet.
