
UNT Football Announces Future Non-Conference Contests

Mean Green set up six future contests
DENTON, Texas – The UNT football program and head coach Eric Morris have announced dates for six future non-conference contests through the year 2032.
UNT will face off with Western Michigan (2025 & 2031) and San Jose State (2027 & 2032) in home-and-home contests and will have home matchups against Tarleton State in 2027 and North Alabama in 2029.
The Mean Green head to Kalamazoo, Mich., Sept. 6, 2025, and plays the Broncos Sept. 20, 2031. It will be the first contests in history between the two programs.
North Texas will play San Jose State for the fifth time in 2027, starting with a matchup on Oct. 2, 2027, in San Jose, Calif. The Spartans will head to Denton to play the Mean Green on Sept. 25, 2032. UNT is 1-2-1 against SJSU all-time.
The 2027 game with Tarleton State will be Sept. 8 the fourth in history between UNT and TSU but the first since the 1921 season. The Texans, now a Division I member of the Western Athletic Conference, own a 2-1 record in the series to date.
Finally, North Texas and North Alabama square off for the first time in history on Sept. 8, 2029, in DATCU Stadium.
UNT Football season tickets for the 2023 season are available through the North Texas Athletics Ticket Office now. Season tickets can be purchased anytime online or by phone at (940) 565-2527 during normal business hours and are available for as low as $80 per ticket.
