Women's Golf Opens Play at UCF Challenge

ORLANDO, Fla. - The UNT women's golf team opened play at the UCF Challenge on Saturday at Eagle Creek Country Club and enter Round 2 in a tie for 14th place with Iowa State after shooting a 10-over-par 298 in its first round of the spring season.
The Mean Green were led by senior Emilie Ricaud, who shot a 1-over 73, while freshman Katharina Anglett followed with a 2-over 74.
The event was originally scheduled to begin on Sunday but instead started on Saturday due to inclement weather in Sunday's forecast. So the teams will take Sunday off before returning to action for Round 2 on Monday and the third and final round on Tuesday. Both Monday and Tuesday will feature shotgun starts at 7:30 a.m.
