Women's Golf Opens Play at AAC Championship

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - The UNT women's golf team opened up play at The American Championship on Monday at Southern Hills Golf Club and were led by two underclassmen on the opening day, as the Mean Green enter Tuesday's second round in sixth place at 2-under par.
Sophomore Mason Lewis led the way with a 4-under 68 and is tied for fourth individually, while freshman Bouquet Subsomboon is tied for 15th at 1-under par after her 71. Senior Emilie Ricaud shot an even-par 72 and is tied for 18th.
The No. 46 Mean Green enter Tuesday three shots back of No. 53 Tulsa, five back of third-place No. 34 South Florida and eight back of No. 27 SMU, the first-round leader.
