Football's first three kick times announced

DENTON, Texas – UNT Football kicks off the 2024 season on Saturday, August 31, at 4 pm CT in Mobile, Ala. In its first-ever matchup with South Alabama that will air on ESPN+.
The home opener for the Mean Green follows a week later Sept. 7, at 6:30 pm CT inside DATCU Stadium. That game will also be broadcast on ESPN+.
The final early time announcement for UNT in 2024 is a road trip to Texas Tech on Sept. 14. That game will be televised on FS1 and kickoff at 11 am CT. The matchup with the Red Raiders is the ninth in program history, but the first since 2001.
Additionally, UNT's trip to rival UTSA on Friday, Nov. 15, will be broadcast by ESPN2 and kickoff at 8 pm CT.
The American Athletic Conference Football Championship Game will air on ABC Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. CT. It will be the 10th consecutive season that The American Championship will be televised on ABC.
Most of the remaining start times and television designations for the 2024 season will be made on a weekly basis through the season as part of the conference's 12-day selection process.
