Women's Golf Opens Play at Bermuda Run Regional

BERMUDA RUN, N.C. - The UNT women's golf team began play in the NCAA Regional at Bermuda Run Country Club on Monday and enter Day 2 of the three-day event in a tie for seventh place at 5-over par after an opening-round 293.
The top five teams after Wednesday's final round will advance to the NCAA championship on May 17-22, in Carlsbad, California. Currently, UNT is eight shots back from fifth, where Texas and Oregon State are tied at 3-under par.
The Mean Green were led on Monday by senior Ellie Roth and freshman Bouquet Subsomboon, who each shot even-par 72, while senior Shreya Pal followed with a 1-over 73.
On Tuesday, UNT will be paired with No. 27 UCF and No. 34 South Florida for the second round. They will tee off beginning at 7:55 a.m. Fans can follow the event live on Golfstat and can follow the program throughout the year on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
