UNT Set to Host Mean Green Kickoff August 3

DENTON, Texas – UNT Athletics and the Mean Green Scholarship Fund have announced the 2024 Kickoff Celebration event for Saturday, August 3 with an open football practice at DATCU Stadium beginning at 4:00 pm and the celebration starting at 5:00 pm inside the HUB Club.
The event marks the beginning of the 2024-25 athletic year and will give fans the opportunity to hear from select Mean Green coaches and vice president and director of athletics Jared Mosley.
Inflatables for kids will be all setup throughout the concourse. During the event, attendees will have the option to purchase season and single-game tickets, join the Mean Green Scholarship Fund and more.
From 4-5 pm, fans will have the ability to watch the 2024 UNT football team participate in an open practice at DATCU Stadium.
Following practice, fans will be able to head upstairs to the HUB Club to hear from Mosley along with volleyball coach Kristee Porter, soccer coach John Hedlund, men's basketball coach Ross Hodge, women's basketball coach Jason Burton and football coach Eric Morris. Additional UNT head coaches are scheduled to attend.
Complimentary food, water and soft drinks will be provided by Mean Green Concessions and select Denton restaurants, with beer and wine available for purchase. Voertman's will have new gear 2024 season available as well.
Additionally, UNT Athletics will be selling game-used football jerseys with limited quantities available. Season ticket holders will also be able to pick up their 2024 gift at the event.

Additionally, single-game tickets are also now on sale.
The UNT football home opener is Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m. versus Stephen F. Austin. The Mean Green football team has six home games this year and hosts Wyoming (Sept. 21), Tulsa (Sept. 28), Tulane (Oct. 26), Army (Nov. 9) and East Carolina (Nov. 23) in addition to the SFA home opener.
