Soccer Ready For Key Game Against Rice

DENTON - The UNT soccer team will host longtime rival Rice on Sunday as the Mean Green continue to push toward a berth in the American Conference Tournament. The teams are set for a 1 p.m. kickoff at the Soccer and Track & Field Stadium, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
The Mean Green (5-9-2, 1-4-1) are coming off a home draw last Sunday with Tulsa, while Rice (9-2-3, 3-1-3) had a 3-1 home win over South Florida. Both teams were off on Thursday, as was the rest of the league.
UNT is 9-5-4 all-time against the Owls, but the Mean Green are 6-0-2 all-time in Denton and will look to remain unbeaten in the series in Denton.
